CRT Bill Stalls. Legislative Update from Micah Clark of American Family Association of Indiana.

I Know What You’re Thinking

You see Governors Ron Desantis, Kristi Noem, and Glenn Youngkin patriotically standing up for parents. You hear of state after state passing legislation to stop CRT in schools. You see polls showing parents do not want their kids divided by racist concepts . . . and then there’s the Republican-dominated, red state of Indiana.

We should all be upset that the Indiana Senate failed to protect children and empower parents on Monday when they killed House Bill 1134.

However, this is not over yet. We have one more week of the legislature and it is still possible that the House or Senate will act on this in some way.

Please call your State Representative and State Senator and ask them to protect students from critical race theory and other political indoctrination in schools.

You can call your House member at 317-232-9600.

You can call your State Senator at 317-232-9400.

You can find your legislator and email them or call them directly through this link.

Mayor Pete’s Friends

Well, I’ll just post the recent sub-headline from the UK Daily Mail. It says it all quite concisely: “Pete Buttigieg accepted $250,000 and gifts from mayoral campaign donors who were later awarded $33 million in city contracts, raising concerns of ‘pay to play’ as Transportation Secretary doles out $210 billion in infrastructure plan.”

You can read more about this here.

An Issue to Watch

There is an issue that you may want to start to research. The issue concerns ESG – Environmental Social Governance scores. This is a new woke score credit system rating businesses and possibly even banking favorably for liberal policies. It could get even tied to your personal credit score.

Several state legislatures are looking into this with concern, but it did not come up as an issue in our legislature this time. However, there were bills filed that attempted to undermine state investing in fossil fuel companies. (ESG is sometimes linked to “sustainable investments.”)

If you have heard about the “great reset” this is a key component of this radical left-wing effort.

Here is an overview paper on this topic and its dangers to our free society.

More Bad Polling for President Biden

There is a new poll that is likely very unsettling to the staff of the White House. A Cap-Harris poll finds that 62% of Americans, (including 38% of Democrats) believe that Vladimir Putin would not have invaded the Ukraine were Donald Trump still President. While 41% said the US was not a factor, 59% said Putin only ordered the invasion because he saw weakness in Joe Biden. Interestingly, this poll is reported by the UK Guardian out of London. You won’t find it on CNN.

Another poll by Harvard/Harris is just as bad. It shows that the president’s support on issues has totally collapsed in his first year. When Joe Biden took office his overall approval on the economy was 61%. Outgoing President Trump’s approval on the economy was 56% in January of 2020. Today, Biden’s approval rating on the economy is only 33%.

Comparing Trump in January 2020, to Biden now:

· Fighting terrorism: Trump 55% approval, Biden 34% approval;

· Immigration: Trump 52% approval, Biden 32% approval;

· Foreign affairs: Trump 52% approval, Biden 33% approval;

· Administering the government: Trump 49% approval, Biden 38% approval.

I am not one who automatically thinks Donald Trump should run again, or that he was the best president ever. What I do find most interesting about this is that President Biden has earned these pathetic ratings under a media that has handled him with kid gloves, compared to the daily beatings they gave Donald Trump.

A Sad Stat

Here is a very sad statistic. Fentanyl overdoses have now become the leading cause of death in America among 18–45-year-olds. Nearly 79,000 people in that age range died from this drug last year. Fentanyl overdoses reportedly surpassed suicide, COVID-19, and car accidents as the leading cause of death among this demographic.

Fentanyl is flowing across our open southern border at an unprecedented rate. It is a very dangerous drug that is often mixed or “laced” with other illegal drugs like heroin, causing deadly overdoses. It is now even appearing in marijuana.

In Their Own Words:
