Friday Legislative Video Update – American Family Association of Indiana

Friday Legislative Video Week 7

The Indiana General Assembly is nearing halfway point. Monday is the last day for final votes on House Bills.  Tuesday is the last day for final votes in the Senate.  After this, legislators will take the week off.  On Monday, the 6th, legislators will return and start up again with committee hearings. At that point, all “live” House bills will be in the Senate, and all “live” Senate bills will be in the House.  Bill numbers do not change with the switchover.  The session will conclude in April.

I quickly discuss three bills today: HB 1001 (budget), HB 1407 (parental rights), HB 1608 (sex education), SB 12 (matter harmful to minors).
