College Degrees by State

According to newly released estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, 79.9 million American adults or 35% of those 25 and older have a bachelor’s degree or higher.

How does Indiana compare to this average? An estimated 28.9% of Hoosier adults have a bachelor’s degree or higher. This places Indiana at ninth lowest in a statewide ranking shown in a Center Square Indiana article.

Overall, those with a bachelor’s degree tend to have higher incomes than those with just a high school diploma.

Median earnings among workers with a bachelor’s degree stood at $61,073 in 2021, compared to $35,019 among those with a high school diploma. The median earnings among all working adults in Indiana are $42,955 a year, which is less than the comparable national median of $45,943.

Indoctrination at Your Expense

If you think that the LGBT agenda seems to be part of the agenda of so many public schools, there is a reason for this. It comes directly from Washington DC, and you are footing the bill for it.

The Centers for Disease Control, which is ironic given the significant health risks associated with homosexual and lesbian sexual behaviors, has given $85 million dollars to K12 public schools to start homosexual school clubs often called “Gay-Strait Alliance” groups.

A school can apply for grants and be awarded between $12,000 to $350,000 for the program. As part of the grant schools are required to also educate all their staff on how to support the homosexual agenda and homosexual students.

Incidentally, to see a result of this there is an outrageous story out of Randolph Vermont where a confused biological male was allowed to use the girl’s locker room. Real girls on the volleyball team complained that the boy was doing and saying inappropriate things while the girls were changing clothes.

Rather than remove the anatomical male from the girls’ locker room school officials kicked all the girls out and started an investigation to see if the boy had been mistreated. Now the boy pretending to be a girl has the locker room to himself. That’s the insanity that this kind of insidious, “non-judgmental” agenda produces.

We seem to be reliving 1st century Rome. That too was a sex-centered morally confused society that the Bible describes as “Claiming to be wise, they became fools . . . because they exchanged the truth for a lie. For this reason, God gave them up to dishonorable passions. . .that are contrary to nature.” Rome didn’t last too long after this took hold. I fear that 21stCentury America has not learned anything from history.

Poll Shows Few Differences

While I don’t like how our society is obsessed with dividing people into groups and then pitting those groups against each other or creating victims of groups, it is what it is. As such, polls of certain demographics interest political observers.

A new NBC/Telemundo TV poll of Latinos finds that they have very similar concerns to all other Americans. The survey of 1,000 registered voters finds that only 5% of Latinos say abortion is the most important issue in this election. Their top concerns are the cost of living, jobs, and the economy, and the problems at the Southern border with illegal immigration.

The poll found that most Latino voters (54%) prefer Democrats to keep control of Congress, but that number is down five percentage points since October 2020 and down a whopping 13 points since the November 2018 midterms.

“While Latinos continue to lean toward the Democratic Party and prefer Democratic control of Congress, Republicans have a higher share of the vote than we’ve measured previously,” Aileen Cardona-Arroyo, who helped conduct the survey, told NBC News.

A Disturbing Pattern

Recently, President Biden made another gaff that was particularly concerning to Hoosiers when he asked, “Where’s Jackie (Walorski)?” This led to more questions surrounding his cognitive abilities.

Even with his full mental abilities, Joe Biden has a deeply concerning history as a politician.

It is one thing to fumble a speech. All politicians do this. It is another thing to misrepresent data, numbers, or facts, most politicians do this at some point. It is another thing to distort political issues. None of these are necessarily deep character flaws if a habit is not made of it.

However, what does it say about a politician when he lies, not about fiscal numbers or complex data, but about himself?

Here is a brief list of such things Gary Bauer (Ronald Reagan’s former Domestic Policy Advisor) recently noted:

He said he was arrested while attempting to visit Nelson Mandela. He wasn’t.

He said he marched with the Civil Rights movement. He didn’t.

He said he was a truck driver. He wasn’t.

He said he visited the Tree of Life synagogue after an evil, anti-Semitic attack took place there. He didn’t.

He said he was appointed to the Naval Academy. He wasn’t.

He said he graduated at the top of his class with multiple degrees while on a full scholarship. None of that was true.

He tells multiple stories with great detail that appear to be complete fiction. For example, Biden has told a moving story about pinning a medal on a soldier in Afghanistan. It didn’t happen.

He has frequently talked at length about his good friend, Angelo the Amtrak conductor. It’s false.

Sometimes, Biden’s lies have had serious consequences for him. He had to drop out of the 1988 presidential primary because it was discovered that he was lying about his speeches. (Telling stories about his life and his parent’s work in coal mines.) They weren’t his.

Last week, President Biden was surveying the hurricane damage in Puerto Rico where he claimed he was “raised by the Puerto Rican Community.” Joe Biden is from Delaware. How big was the Puerto Rican community in the ’50s & ’60s in that small northeast state?

There is something very wrong with Joe Biden that goes much deeper than the mental confusion we see occasionally now.

In Their Own Words:
