St. Joseph County election news update:

Indiana GOP sues SJC Clerk/Election Board

By Clifton French • October 10, 2022 • REAL News Michiana

PLYMOUTH, Ind. — The Indiana Republican Party has filed a lawsuit against Democrat St. Joseph County Clerk, Rita Glenn, and the Democrat member of the county Election Board. All of it is connected to (and follows) a REAL News Michiana investigation that uncovered video of Glenn illegally entering the secured absentee ballot area, alone, after hours. On Friday, Glenn and the Democrat member of the Election Board, Charles Leone, passed a resolution essentially absolving Glenn of any wrongdoing and giving her plenary power to handle absentee ballots without bipartisan observation, which is a blatant violation of state law, which resulted in the lawsuit.

The litigation was filed in Marshall County because Glenn is the Clerk of the Circuit Court in St. Joseph County and, if filed in St. Joseph County, would have to accept the filing of a lawsuit against herself.
