State Senate is Failing Hoosiers

Friday Video Update by Micah Clark at American Family Association of Indiana.

The 2022 legislative session should end this Tuesday.

I am very disappointed in the Indiana Senate leadership’s willingness to let important issues die in these final days. They have also watered down several good House-passed bills that helped parents and families.

The Senate is turning its back on parents who begged the legislature to address the indoctrination of children with radical ideologies like Critical Race Theory. All across America, states are responding to parents’ concerns on this, but in Indiana, the Senate caved to the special interests when they killed HB 1134. Now they seem unwilling to even pass the parts of that bill parents need and majorities support.

It is not too late to call your Senator to ask them to empower parents and remove CRT from schools at 317-232-9400.

Also, the Senate leadership will not allow a bill concerning adult business zoning to keep sexually-oriented businesses further away from child care centers, schools, etc. HB 1122 is being blocked by Senate President Rod Bray even though it easily passed with broad bipartisan support in the House. A bill is available for this language (HB 1369) but he is saying “no” to protecting families and children here too.

You can also call your Senator today to ask them to protect parents and families by allowing HB 1122 language into HB 1369 317-232-9400.
