Andrea Neal Interview About Important Issues in Indiana as they Relate to America 250

Andrea Neal of Marion County has been a Hoosier journalist and then a history teacher in the Indianapolis area for 22 years at St. Richard’s Episcopal School, recently retired. Andrea Neal participates in Indiana Policy Review, a conservative think tank for legislative policy and evolving topics and is co-author of an issue-driven book, Indiana Mandate: A Return to Founding Principles. This book was masterfully written to be an easy-to-read resource for just about every problem you can think of in Indiana. Each subject has a title, a paragraph explaining the subject, a list of talking points, action steps to engage, and resources to support the material–extremely user friendly and useful! The Declaration of Independence was used as a resource and a framing tool to determine the founders’ intentions for modern-day problems. A few topics that are inherently important to YCI, such as Election Integrity and Transparency, Medical Freedom, Parent-Controlled Education, Sanctity of Life, and Second Amendment are explored. Next, Andrea Neal revealed “An American 250 Seminar” in Indianapolis in May 2026 to celebrate the 250th birthday of America that the Indiana Policy Review is hosting. Andrea Neal shares her favorite books for adults and children to learn more about our American history. Andrea Neal’s work is another example of a Hoosier doing great things in our state!
