Colonel Retired David Skalon is a lifelong Hoosier veteran who currently resides in Madison County but was raised in Pulaski County. To honor our veterans and forefathers for 250 years of America, it seems only fitting to interview a Hoosier veteran. Colonel Retired David Skalon has an accomplished biography. Colonel Retired David Skalon relates the events that led to his decision to enter military service; how he chose the Army; his roles in the service; the three large military operations that he served; life skills learned in the military; his proudest moments in the military; what he misses about military service life; advice to a young person considering military service; and what the 250th celebration of America means to him, a veteran.
