Sam Mortenson is a candidate for school board at South Dearborn Community School Corporation. He is passionate about children and education and is inspired to build upon the local school system to incorporate fiscal responsibility and educational excellence for every student through the lens of academic achievement and moral character. Sam is an ordinary citizen who is making a difference in Dearborn County. He has a high school diploma, has been a small business owner in grounds maintenance for 20 years, and is a grassroots activist for civic engagement in governance. Sam and his wife have five children and are expecting their sixth child. Important issues that matter to Indiana families, namely parent-controlled education, medical freedom, the sanctity of life, election integrity, and Second Amendment rights are discussed. Hoosier Godly Resources are provided by Sam that include the Bible, particularly the book of Proverbs and the books of the Gospel, and many financial and spiritual mentors. To close, Sam provides several resources for all ages to learn more about civic knowledge, the American founders, and historical events and perspectives. Sam Mortenson is an energetic and attentive individual with an abundance of character and personality and shares actionable measures that can be applied in every school in Indiana. This interview is for everyone (children, parents, grandparents, teachers, etc.) that cares about children in the public school system.
